Beautiful vintage Navajo turquoise and coral decorative coil bolo tie. The bolo setting consists of a cut and polished blue turquoise nugget with black matrix and a boot shaped piece of branch coral. Both mounted side by side in very fine sawtooth bezels wrapped with twisted wire onto an oxidized base. The artist adds a graduating row of three (3) silver raindrops above the turquoise stone and a row of seven (7) graduating silver drops to the outer side of the branch coral. The artist continues decorating by encasing a repeating silver bead hoop around the stones along with numerous wire hoops (approx. 65) around the outer rim of the setting. The artist continues by making custom end tips in same fashion as the bolo setting except using a chunk of coral set in fine sawtooth bezel wrapped with twisted wire. There’s approximately 33 wire hoops going around each end tip. A lot of tedious detailed workmanship! All attached to a 4-ply black braided leather cord.

The bolo setting measures approximately 1 7/8” diameter and is attached to the 4-ply cord with a BENNETT PAT.PEND. bolo clasp. The cord measures 46” long end to end which includes the 3” long custom end tips. The coral end tip settings are 3/4” diameter. The complete bolo weighs 60.6 grams (2.14 oz or 1.95 ozt). The silversmith has marked one end tip DJ stacked and we guaranteed made with sterling silver. We believe the bolo was made in mid-70’s to early 80’s based on the Bennett Pat.Pend. clasp.
