Beautiful vintage Navajo double turquoise shadowbox bolo tie. The silversmith has created a very nice shadowbox setting using two (2) polished blue-green turquoise nuggets each set into a sawtooth bezel. Both stones are showing specks of brown matrix and are mounted to an oxidized blackened silver base. The silversmith continues by attaching a domed shape silver cover with cut out to expose the turquoise stones. Adding repeat stamped bird tracks, bear tracks and snake symbols running top to bottom on both sides of the stones. The artist finishes by attaching a BENNETT PAT.PEND. thumb locking clasp on the back. It’s attached to a 4-ply braided black leather cord with sterling silver bead tipped end tips. The setting most likely was made in late 1970’s to early 1980’s

The bolo setting measures 2” by 1 1/2” across tapering down to 1” across the bottom. The cord measures 36” long which includes the 2” long sterling end tips. The end tips sport double sunrise stampwork on the top. Unsigned, but do believe made from sterling silver based on fact it had tarnish/patina build up that we cleaned off. Very nice Navajo turquoise shadowbox bolo tie! $248.95
