Nice vintage Navajo turquoise decorated bolo tie. The silversmith has used what appears to be a polished turquoise nugget from the Red Mountain Mine. It didn’t show in the pictures, but the matrix is a reddish brown in color. Set tight into a smooth silver bezel and encircled with molten sterling silver. The artist finishes decorating by adding three (3) stamped lines that run from the side up to the top of the setting going above the stone along with three (3) lines that run from bottom to opposite side that run below the stone. The silversmith attaches two (2) sterling wire slides on back to hold the bolo cord. We have added a new 6-ply black leather cord with new sterling silver saucer bead end tips.

The bolo setting measures 2 1/8” by 1 1/2” across tapering down to 1 1/8” across the bottom. The new 6-ply cord measures 40” which include the 2 1/4” long sterling saucer bead end tips.
