Bold, heavy, and beautifully made vintage 70's Zuni multi stone inlay Black Apache Ghan Dancer bolo! The artist has used a very large mother of pearl shell as the back drop and inlaid turquoise, coral, black jet, and a raised piece of what appears to be serpentine to create a resemblance of a Black Apache Ghan Dancer deity. The artist also inlays silver to outline the dancer and create the detail of the crosses, headdress, feather stems, and eyes of the dancer. The beautiful inlay setting is set into a heavy silver base and held in place using large saw teeth. The artist continues decorating by placing four (4) large silver leaves, one in each corner, running heavy gauge twisted wire across the bottom and top, adding a row of silver drops across the very top, and attaching four (4) large decorative stamped silver drops, two (2) on each side.

The large pendant measures 2 1/4" tall by 2 3/8" across narrowing to 1 7/8" across the bottom. It is attached to the 6mm black braided leather cord with a BENNETT PAT.PEND. C-31 thumb locking clasp. The leather cord measures 39" long which includes the 2 1/4" long decorative stamped sterling silver fluted bead end tips. The complete bolo weighs 49.9 grams (1.76 ounces or 1.60 troy ounces) and is unsigned Sterling Silver. I do attribute the piece to one of the Olmsatte family members. Beautiful and bold vintage Zuni crafted bolo!  $259.95
