Vintage Zuni multi stone inlay owl bust bolo tie. The artist has used a grey shade mother of pearl for the forehead and shoulders along with yellow mother of pearl around the onyx eyes. Capping the owl bust off with raised white mother of pearl for eye brows and across bottom of eyes along with branch coral for the beak. Set into a silver channel inlay with the white mother of pearl and the coral beak rising above the rest of the inlay. The artist finishes decorating by running a repeat stamped wire across the bottom. Attaching a BENNETT PAT.PEND. C-31 locking thumb bolo clasp on back.

The Owl Bust setting measures 2” by 1 7/8” across. The artist has used 42” long 4-ply black leather cord which includes 2 1/8” long sterling seamed bead end tips with decorative stampwork close to top and again close to bottom completely around. The complete bolo tie weighs 42.4 grams (1.50 oz or 1.36 ozt) and is unsigned sterling silver. Based on the Bennett clasp the piece was most likely made in 1960’s to early 70’s. $338.95
