Large beautiful vintage Navajo turquoise nuggets, abalone, and silver beads necklace. The artist has used thirty (30) 8mm seamed silver beads, fourteen (14) hand rolled silver melon beads, fifteen (15) polished turquoise nuggets, and two (2) circular cut and polished abalone beads. All strung on a braided twine cord with a handmade shepherds hook and attached extended chain. The turquoise nuggets sport a rich deep teal blue with black and brown matrix inside white water marks. Beautiful stones with the unique matrix making them even more desirable.

The necklace measures 29 1/2” long end to end with a wearable length between 13 3/4” to 15” varying on where you catch the extension chain. The turquoise nuggets range between 19mm by 20mm by 5mm thick (approx. 11/16” by 3/4” by 3/8”) up to 25mm by 29mm by 11mm thick (approx. 1” by 1 1/8”by 1/2”). The arre all good sized nuggets! The silver melon beads are approximately 7/8” long with the two (2) circular abalone beads being 14mm (9/16”) diameter Te complete necklace weighs 97.2 grams (3.43 oz or 3.12 ozt) and is unsigned. The silver beads appear to be sterling silver. The necklace is very old and nobody uses the twine cord anymore giving even more precedence to age.
