Vintage 50’s-60’s Navajo turquoise sandcast Sacred Hoops and naja squash necklace. The silversmith has created thirteen (13) of the sandcast scared hoops (also known as Sundance Circles) plus the large sandcast Fleur de Lis naja (which has one of the sacred hoops attached). The artist attached small turquoise nuggets to each of the sacred hoops to the sunrise section and mounted the turquoise nugget to the inside of the sacred hoop on the naja. The artist also attached a turquoise nugget on each tip or Fleur de Lis of the naja. The silversmith has created one hundred sixty (160) handmade 6mm seamed beads. Eighty (80) 6mm beads and six (6) turquoise sacred hoops on each side of the naja all strung and balanced on foxtail chain with a shepherds hook and eye clasp that’s been soldered to the chain.

The necklace measures 25 1/2” long end to end with a wearable length of 14 1/4” measured from clasp down one side to bottom of the naja. The sacred hoops each measure 1” by 11/16” across and the sandcast naja measures 2 1/2” by 2 1/8” across. The complete necklace weighs 164.9 grams (5.82 oz or 5.30 ozt) and is unsigned sterling silver. Very nice vintage sandcast turquoise necklace!
