Item 1071P- Vintage Navajo Turquoise Silver Squashblossom Necklace
Vintage Navajo thirteen (13) stone turquoise decorated squashblossom necklace. The silversmith has created ten (10) large decorative turquoise trefold “blossoms” each with what appears to be Carico Lake turquoise. The stone has been round cut and lightly polished set into a sawtooth bezel. Mounted to an oxidized sterling cut teardrop. The artist continues decorating by wrapping the outer rim of the teardrop with smooth wire that comes to a point and coils out to each side. Including twisted wire inside the teardrop with double silver drops. Finishing each blossom with the trefold barrel attached underneath. The naja consists of two (2) carinated triangular wire with twisted wire running between them. They added a similar teardrop decorated turquoise mounted inside the naja along with smaller versions of turquoise wire wrapped teardrops on both ends.
