Large vintage 60’s-70’s Navajo multi stone inlay Knifewing deity belt buckle. The silversmith has created a large stone inlay oval displaying a Knifewing deity mounted in center of an oblong oval silver buckle. The Knifewing consists of turquoise, pipestone, black jet, mother of pearl, fossilized ivory, serpentine, and some sort of agate. All set into an oval cut yellow shell. The artist has mounted the Knifewing into a smooth silver bezel setting. They have applied repeat plant symbols around the outside of the Knifewing along with leaves to left and right finishing with unique sunrise symbols around the outer rim of the buckle. Finishing the buckle by attaching a swivel type belt catch on back.

The belt buckle measures 2 5/8” tall by 3 9/16” across, It will accommodate up to a 1 3/8” wide belt. The buckle weighs 56.3 grams (1.99 oz or 1.81 ozt) and is hand etched R.B. - Navajo. I attribute the belt buckle to Richard and Rita Begay. Beautiful vintage Navajo Knifewing belt buckle! $412.95
