Large Southwest designed purple spiny oyster decorated bracelet! The bracelet displays a high quality cut and polished piece of purple spiny oyster set into a saw tooth bezel. The silversmith wraps the shell with twisted wire and uses eight (8) sun stamped buttons and ten (10) crescent moon wires to decorate and encircle the shell. All mounted to an oxidized silver base. The artist mounts the setting to a triple half round wire cuff which has been soldered together at both ends with a silver plate.

The bracelet measures 1 9/16" wide with an inner circumference of 5 3/4" and a 1" opening. It will fit a 6 5/8" to 6 3/4" wrist as is and could be slightly adjusted in or out. It weighs 39.3 grams (1.39 ounces or 1.26 troy ounces) and is hallmarked Broken Arrow - Sterling by the silversmith. Although a few silversmiths have used the broken arrow hallmark, I believe it's the mark of anglo Kay Johnson. Mr. Johnson began by cutting and polishing stones for the Navajo silversmiths and was taught to make jewelry by the Navajo. His polished stones are a trademark of his craftsmanship and I can say without any uncertainty the stone was cut and polished by Mr.Johnson! Guaranteed Sterling Silver. Beautifully made bracelet with top of the line finished spiny oyster shell!
