Large vintage Navajo turquoise and double peyote birds decorated watchband. Each watch tip displays two (2) peyote birds shooting across and flying towards each side. All mounted on top of a textured base. The artist has also included three (3) small turquoise stones, one mounted between the birds and the other two (2) under each bird next to the tailfeathers. The stones are set into sawtooth bezels and have turned or in process of turning green from human oils and acids, a sign of natural untreated, non-stabilized turquoise. The artist finishes each watch tip by attaching a barrel tube on the top and cutting a slit across the bottom to attach the watch shank and stretchband. The watch tips come attached to a new 3 7/8” stainless steel adjustable stretchband.

Each watch tip measures 1 3/4” by 1 3/8” across narrowing down to 1” across the bottom. The watch shank barrel tubes measure 17-18mm and the tips are attached to a new 3 7/8” long stainless steel stretchband. We can exchange for a shorter stretchband if requested. Click Here to see the different lengths. The complete watchband weighs 40.2 grams (1.42 oz or 1.29 ozt) and is hallmarked with an older NAKAi marking.
