Beautiful Navajo seventeen (17) piece storyteller/bear paw linked concho belt. The silversmith has created nine (9) oblong oval storyteller overlay conchos and eight (8) smaller overlay conchos displaying a bear paw symbol. Each storyteller concho displays a hogan (home) with smoke billowing from the chimney along with a flatbed horse drawn wagon. There's also a line of cloud cover above. All cut out and overlaid on top of a blackened textured silver base. The other smaller conchos display the bear paw symbol also overlaid on top of a blackened textured silver base. The artist has evenly mixed the conchos and has attached flat silver hoops at each end and using a large circular wire ring to connect the conchos together. Only exception is the buckle which has a handmade shepherd's hook on one end.

The complete concho belt measures 38" long end to end. The larger storyteller conchos each measure 11/16" tall by 1 7/8" across with each bear paw symboled concho measuring 1/2" tall by 1 1/2" across. The complete belt weighs 82.2 grams (2.90 oz or 2.64 ozt) and is hallmarked with a peyote bird symbol - STERLING by Navajo silversmith Gibson Gene. The concho belt will fit any waist under 38" since the buckle can be clipped to any of the circular wire links letting the excess hang/dangle freely.
