Vintage Mexican silver symbolized water serpent overlay cufflinks. The silversmith has created a detailed oval set of cufflinks displaying an Avanyu or water serpent inside an oval outer rim frame. The silversmith has finished by attaching a stationary cufflink clasp on the back.

Each cufflink measures 3/4” by 1/2” across and weighs 6 grams (12 grams per set). They are signed MEXICO - TA-138 - 925 by the artist. The Mexican Government use to keep track of all the silver and registered each silversmith. I do know that T stands for Taxco and the initial A of the silversmith. The artist would be the 138th registered silversmith with the initial A and obviously the 925 is the purity of the silver, in this case a sterling grade silver. Back to the cufflinks, they do show slight signs of previous wear, but are made very well with a good detail overlay! $89.95
