Beautiful vintage Navajo petrified wood brooch/pin. The artist has used a thin solid oval cut and polished piece of petrified wood setting it into a smooth bezel wrapped with twisted wire. The petrified wood specimen displays a mostly grey background color with some orange/red haze and black squiggly lines and dots. The silversmith continues by adding four (4) crescent moon wires mounted above and below the setting with everything mounted on an oxidized blackened silver base. The artist finishes by attaching a safety locking pin/clasp on the back side.

The brooch measures 7/8” by 1 1/4” across and weighs 8 grams. It’s unsigned sterling silver. $166.95
