Large beautiful detailed Zuni multi stone inlay kachina god bolo. I want to say it's a Sun God, but may be wrong? The artist uses two (2) types of turquoise from different mines, coral, reddish spiny oyster, yellow shell, mother of pearl, and black jet all channel inlaid except the face and hat which have been stone-to-stone inlaid. The artist has also added decorative etching/chiseling to give texture and design to most of the stones. The artist includes flat silver buttons along with repeat sunrise stamping the runs down both arms, body, and hips of the deity on both sides. The deity has been connected to a 4-ply black braided leather cord using a thumb locking bolo clasp and includes sterling silver bead tipped end tips.

The unique kachina deity measures 4 1/8" by 1 3/4" across the widest area. The leather cord measures 45" long which includes the 2" long end tips. The complete bolo weighs 43.7 grams (1.54 oz or 1.40 ozt) and is hand etched E. Martinez - ZUNI by Zuni silversmith/lapidarist Ethel Martinez (Cheromiah). It's also etched "Congratulations to you! Class of 99" with what I suspect the receipients name "Duane P." This evidently was specially made for a family member or friend and gifted to the individual. It would fall in the definition/category of a true piece of "Old Pawn". Very well made with painsaking detail!  $498.95
