Beautiful vintage 50’s-70’s Zuni turquoise inlay Hummingbird symbol click on earrings. Each earring consists of eleven (11) pieces of flush inlaid Kingman turquoise with brown matrix. Finished with clip on ear clips. Set into the Zuni symbol for Hummingbirds. Their are multiple means for the Hummingbird, but based on the Zuni tribe, they believe that hummingbirds are the protectors of mothers and children. In their legend, hummingbirds fly around mothers and children, using their wings to deflect bad thoughts and evil spirits. Previously owned and worn.
