Vintage Zuni sandcast Knifewing Deity belt buckle. The silversmith has created a sandcast buckle with prayer feathers on both sides along with a Fleur di Lis symbol at top and bottom. The center of the buckle displays a rectangular frame where the artist has overlaid a detailed Knifewing on top. Finishing the buckle by mounting a stationary belt hasp and solid set pin on back.

The belt buckle measures 2 1/4” tall by 3 1/4” across and weighs 42.8 grams (1.51 oz or 1.38 ozt). The stationary belt hasp will accommodate up to a 1 1/4” wide belt. It been hallmarked with a B on it’s side above an S by the artist. The Knifewing is a Zuni war deity. The wings are knives and supposedly Knifewing would fly in front of the Zuni warriors shooting and killing the enemy with knives. $597.95
