Beautifully decorated vintage pre-70’s Navajo ten (10) piece first phase plants/sunrise stamped concho belt. Here’s one out of my personal collection! The silversmith has created nine (9) matching oval decorated conchos along with a larger belt buckle that’s similar yet displays a row of fourteen (14) prayer feathers shooting off the buckle to both sides. Each concho displays decorative plant symbols at each of the four directional paths along with repeating sunrise stamping between the plant symbols which encircle around the opening in the center. They are repousse’ with a circling rim of repeat bird tracks prior to having the outer scallop cut rim displaying repeat sunrise and full moon stampwork. All attached to a double black leather belts using two (2) copper belt slides to each concho to hold the concho straight and in place on the belt. All attached to the black leather belts.

Each concho measures 2 1/4” tall by 3” across and the buckle measures 2 1/8” by 3” across. One black leather belt measures 1” wide by 33” long with the smaller belt measuring 5/8” wide by 40” long with six (6) buckle set holes starting at 33” to 36”. There’s also set holes behind the first concho allowing the owner to remove that concho so to fit a slim ladies waist. The complete concho belt weighs 340.2 grams (12 oz or 10.938 ozt). Not stamped by neither artist or silver content, but guarantee sterling grade silver. It has a light, but even patina started so we are not cleaning and allowing the customer to clean if they like. Collectors prefer the patina and if any of our offering have a balance even patina we will leave it as is. The concho belt is very obviously primitively handmade.
