The artist has hand carved not only the large square rectangular lapis lazuli beads, but also carved the graduating heishi lapis lazuli and turquoise beads and the three (3) focal lapis lazuli beads. Not stopping there, the necklace also highlights four (4) sterling silver rectangular hollow beads that sport repeating stampwork on all four (4) sides of each sterling bead. The necklace is strung on cotton twill with handmade sterling silver hook-n-eye clasp. An amazing example of Native American indigenous wearable art! The beautiful Santo Domingo necklace measures 30” long end to end with a wearable length of 16 1/2” measured straight down from the clasp to the bottom of the center focal stone of the necklace.
