Beautiful extra large and heavy vintage Navajo collectable ten piece turquoise and coral teardrop silver beads necklace! The necklace consists of sixty four (64) large 10mm round hand made silver seamed beads, twenty two (22) hand made melon beads that measure 1" long, and an extra large teardrop medallion that measures 3 3/4" by 2 7/8" across. The extra large teardrop medallion displays a total of nine (9) beautiful cut and polished blue turquoise stones which appear to be from the Stormy Mountain mine with the largest measuring 1 5/8" by 5/8" across along with a large chunk of cut and polished branch coral that measures 5/8" by 7/16" across each set in very fine hand cut serrated bezels. The unique decoration added to the medallion consists of a large silver prayer feather fan which folds over part of the large turquoise stone, a set if two (2) bird wings, a smooth silver wire, a twisted strip of sheet silver, two (2) silver arches, a single silver drop, and twenty three (23) different sun stamped silver buttons. All mounted to a heavy thick scorched silver base and framed with heavy gauge smooth wire that has decorative notching at both sides and across the bottom. The medallion is permanently attached to the necklace which is double strand turning to a single strand towards the ends. All strung on silver foxtail chain with hook-n-eye clasp.

The full necklace measures 30" end to end with a wearable length of 17 3/4" long. It weighs a healthy 141.6 grams (4.99 ounces or 4.55 troy ounces) which at today's silver rates is almost $200 in raw silver. The necklace is stamped CS by Navajo master silversmith Charlie Singer. Six (6) of the melon beads are dented. The four (4) behind the medallion which can't be seen when worn and two (2) more throughout the necklace. They really aren't that noticeable and don't take away any of the prestige of the necklace, but thought I should mention it.
