Large vintage Navajo fiery abalone teardrop decorated pendant and chain. The silversmith has cut out a large teardrop shaped setting from an abalone shell setting it into a smooth silver bezel. The artist has wrapped the shell with silver bead wire and applied added decoration on both sides and across the bottom. The added decoration consists of silver drops and flat silver wire set on it’s side with an oxidized silver base. The artist finishes the pendant by attaching a hammer silver hoop/bale along with two (2) larger silver drops. It comes attached to a 1.5mm cable chain.

The large abalone pendant measures 2 1/8” by 1 3/8” across which includes the bale. The 1.5mm sterling silver cable chain measures 18” long and is stamped .925 on the clasp.
