The silversmith has used the unique pietersite stone setting it into a smooth silver bezel wrapped with twisted wire and encircled with decorative cut smooth wire. The artist finishes by attaching a 1/4” diameter silver bale.

The pendant measures 1 1/2” by 1 1/8” across and including the bale stands 2 1/8” tall. It weighs 16 grams and is hallmarked I.KEE - STERLING. I’m going out on a limb and attributing the pendant to Navajo Isabelle Kee. The hallmark originally was that of Ivan Kee (b 1940’s-1982). Isabelle is Ivan’s widow. Pietersite belongs in the quartz family and is a combination of tiger eye and translucent quartz. Has a similarity to a moss agate where some parts of the stone appears to be floating.
