Large Navajo baltic amber wide band ring. The silversmith uses a very nice Baltic Amber specimen with bug parts, wings, air pocket, and other prehistoric findings (appears to be a sort of clear leaf floating around?). The silversmith sets the large round domed stone into a smooth silver bezel and wraps it with silver bead wire. He mounts the setting to a thick wide silver five fingered split shank band.

The ring face measures 7/8" diameter and is approximately 7/16" tall. It weighs 12.9 grams and is a size 9. Signed Russell Sam - Sterling by the Navajo silversmith. What I've read about amber, the more bugs, sticks, air, and etc floating around plus the clearness of the amber is how it's rated in value.
