Vintage 40’s-50’s Navajo fifteen (15) piece decorative sunburst/sunrise stamped concho belt. The silversmith has created fourteen (14) oval cut conchos applying decorative sunburst stamping in the center and encircled around the outer rim with repeating sunrise stampwork. The silversmith also has used a decorative stamped ring with repeat chiseled design that separates the sunburst and sunrise stamping. Each concho is finished with a copper belt slide attached to the back side. The buckle is a larger oval concho with belt clasp cut out of center. The silversmith has applied mountain sunrise along with plant symbols in the center and the rest of the stampwork matches the other conchos of the belt. Somewhere along the line the belt has been changed out for a newer belt, but it’s not brand new and shows wear.

The belt buckle measures 2 1/8” across by 1 3/4” tall with each concho measuring 1 7/8” across by 1 3/8” tall. The black leather belt is 3/4” wide and is 33” long. It has belt set holes at 30”, 31” and 31 1/2”. The customer can add new set holes as needed up to 32” or can remove a concho to set holes under 30”.
