Nice vintage Navajo fourteen (14) piece silver and gold sunburst stamped concho belt. The belt includes six (6) oval conchos, seven (7) butterfly conchos, and a dome shaped rectangular buckle. All of the oval and butterfly conchos have thick black leather backings and double copper belt slides. They all have similar stamping of an oblong golden sun or rising sun with sunrays shooting off in all directions with repeating sunrise stamping and sunrise stampwork on the scallop cut outer rims. The golden sun's are overlaid to the rest of the concho and it appears they are gold plated since some areas appear to have worn off. All are attached to a thick black leather belt.

The buckle measures 2" tall by 2 1/2" across the front with each oval concho measuring 1 5/8" tall by 2" across and the butterfly conchos measure 1 9/16" by 1" across. The thick black leather belt measures 41" long by 7/8" wide with six (6) buckle set holes starting at 33" and running up to 37 3/4". It also has one other set hole at 30". The complete belt weighs 303.2 grams (10.69 oz) and is hallmarked on the back of buckle on an attached silver plate AG - Sterling by the silversmith. The lettering and layout is similar to that of Navajo silversmith Arnold Goodluck, but without the cloverleaf marking? Not saying for sure if he's the artist or not, but the timeline is basically the same? Early 1980's to 90's made. The belt shows previous wear with light scratches and small dings, but still has been very well made with top quality leather and balanced stampwork. Very nice for the price!  $739.95
