Large vintage Navajo decorated sterling silver watch pendant! The silversmith has created a large decorative stamped circular concho and mounted a blue reflective watch in the center. He’s applied a sun and crops related stampwork with the sunrise stamping coinciding with the four (4) directional paths (i.e. North, East, South, and West = 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock) and crop and plant symbols in between. I translate to reference of time passing to days with growth, crops in this case. The artist has added two (2) triangular cut pieces of sheet silver on the bottom and finishes the watch pendant by creating a wide decorative stamped bale that tapers down smaller on the back side.

The large clock pendant measures 3” tall by 2” across which includes the large bale. It has a large bale that will accommodate up to a 3/8” diameter chain, cord, or necklace. I’d say it’s made to wear with a graduating heishi bead necklace or turquoise nugget necklace, but the handmade link necklaces (CLICK HERE) from the Tellers would go great with it! The watch is an LTD Quartz. We installed a new battery and seems to keep good time. The complete watch pendant weighs 37.2 grams (1.31 oz or 1.20 ozt) and is stamped Sterling - JY.
