Large bold Navajo silver Elk overlay collector's bolo. The artist has created a large concho style bolo pendant in the silver overlay technique. He applies a detailed silver male Elk onto a scorched silver base and then encircles the Elk with an overlay displaying the terrain around the Elk. He finishes by again applying a circular overlay smooth silver frame around the outer rim of the concho and applying a repeating decorative stampwork around the outer ring. The artist has attached a thumb locking bolo clasp on the back that holds a black braided leather cord with bead tipped end tips.

The large and solid circular decorated concho measures 2 3/8" diameter with the 4mm black leather cord measuring 44" long which includes the 2" long sterling silver 8mm seamed bead end tips. The complete bolo weighs 52.7 grams (1.86 oz or 1.69 ozt) and is stamped TOM BAHE - STERLING by the noted Navajo silversmith Tom Bahe (b.1924-2009). We purchased the bolo tie from a collector’s estate and the bolo setting show no previous wear! No scratches or scuffs, just polished silver.
