Beautiful Zuni Morenci turquoise three (3) piece sterling silver gorget choker necklace. The silversmith has created three (3) sections that flow together using handmade silver hinges. Each section displays a wave or rolling appearance at the top that align with the other sections and the artist has applied stamped lines in the silver, five (5) on both outer sections with four (4) stamped line at both ends of the center section. She mounts a nice cut and polished turquoise nugget in the center set into a smooth silver bezel. The Morenci turquoise nugget displays a nice light blue tint with heavy silvery pyrite throughout. The artist finishes the gorget choker by attaching a section of “dot-dash-dot” style link chain to both ends along with a spring loaded clasp and applies a high sheen polishing to both sides of the three (3) sterling silver sections of the necklace.

The gorget necklace measures 16” end to end with a wearable length of 8” measured from clasp straight down the center to bottom of the center focal section. The center section measures 1 5/8” wide and tapers at both ends to 1” wide measuring 3” across. The other sections each measure 1” wide tapering down to 1/4” wide along with being 3” across. The complete necklace weighs 50.4 grams (1.78 oz or 1.62 ozt) and is hallmarked Sterling - S.E. by the silversmith. We attribute it to Zuni artist Sensa Eustace.
