Bold heavy vintage Hopi three (3) stone turquoise decorated bear paw water wave silver overlay belt buckle The silversmith has created a thick solid silver buckle displaying an open rectangular opening at top with a row of three (3) spiderweb turquoise nuggets. The artist adds feathered prayer fans to the outside of the outer nuggets, large silver drops between the stones, and two (2) large silver drops in both end corners of the rectangular cut out. Underneath the artist has cut a mix of four (4) bear paws/water waves in an overlay style. The base displays typical textured covered by oxidation and the outer frame of the buckle is high sheen polished. On the back side the artist finishes by attaching a swivel type belt hasp and solid set pin.

The bold heavy belt buckle measures 3 1/4” across by 2 1/4” tall and weighs a hefty 80.8 grams (2.85 oz or 2.60 ozt). It’s been hallmarked with three (3) stamped lines and guaranteed sterling silver.
