Beautiful, bold, and heavy vintage Navajo turquoise nugget shadowbox with turquoise and coral chip inlay cuff bracelet. I want to say this style cuff is called “fish tail” due to the way the ends flair back out, but may be wrong? The silversmith has used three (3) polished turquoise nuggets with brown and black webbed matrix. Appears to be Lone Mountain turquoise, each set into smooth silver bezels with large silver drops separating the stones along with single drops at each end. Mounted to an oxidized silver base. The silversmith overlays what amounts to two (2) more silver cuffs that set above the base oxidized cuff creating a shadowbox effect with the nuggets exposed. The artist has cut out bird or parrot symbols into the top layer of silver and has filled the bird symbols with turquoise and coral chips and finishes decorating with decorative stampwork down both ends of the cuff.

The heavy cuff measures 1 7/8” wide narrowing to 1 1/8” and back out to 1 7/8” at both ends. It holds an inner circumference of 5 1/2” plus a 1 5/8” opening. It will fit a 7” to 7 1/4” wrist as is and cannot be adjusted without damaging the inlay. The heavy cuff weighs 99.8 grams (3.52 oz or 3.21 ozt) and is hallmarked CJ II.
