NEW! Bold solid Cherokee turquoise and coral inlaid heavily decorated cast silver collector’s ring. Made by noted Cherokee silversmith Lee Epperson. He’s created a heavy solid silver cast band and inlaid both turquoise and coral on the face. Mr. Epperson has inlaid the rectangular cut and polished turquoise (which appears to be Kingman) and then intricately cut a rectangular area in the turquoise filling it with strips of coral displaying silver channels on the inside and outside of the coral separating the coral from the turquoise. He has chiseled out the silver on both sides of the stones which continue down both sides of the band leaving a textured finish. The artist has continued with intricate cut tribal designs that match. He continues decorating by also cutting out on the top and bottom sides of the thick silver band and adding a circular turquoise bead to the top and bottom sides. He’s somewhat “squared off” the bottom of the band which helps keep the ring from sliding sideways on the finger. Finishing the ring by applying a high polishing on both the outside and inside of the silver band.

The ring face measures 5/8” by 1” across and weighs a healthy 37.2 grams (1.31 oz or 1.20 ozt). It’s a size 7 1/2 and although not signed is guaranteed made by Cherokee Mastercraftsman Lee Epperson and consists of sterling silver. Born in 1935, Mr Epperson has created sculptures, pottery, paintings, and cast silver/gold fabrications. Mostly known in the silver world for making jewelry boxes, silverware, and silver/gold sculptures. I guess considering the small finger size the ring could also be a pinky finger ring?
