Unique vintage Navajo malachite set turtle silver overlay cast ring. The silversmith has used a cast silver ring band and set a val cut and polished malachite stone in center. The artist continued by cutting out an outline of a turtle into a thick silver oval and overlaid it to the cast band. The artist cut out for the turtle's shell of which the stone rises up as the shell. The base has been oxidized black to show separation and detail.

The ring face measures 1" by 5/8" across and weighs 14.9 grams. It's a size 12 and hallmarked with a J by the artist. May be Navajo Jean Dixon? Nice vintage cast ring with thick silver overlay!  $139.95
