Beautiful vintage 50's-70's Navajo spiderweb turquoise shadowbox silver beads necklace! The necklace consists of a large teardrop shaped shadowbox with an exposed oval cut and polished light blue turquoise stone sporting brown spiderweb matrix. The stone appears to possibly be from the famed Number 8 Mine and is set in a saw tooth bezel mounted to an oxidized silver base. The artist attaches the shadowbox cover which not only exposes the beautiful stone, but also has a unique symbol cut out to one side of the stone. The silversmith has attached a strong half round wire bale to the top of the teardrop pendant and permanently affixes the pendant to a multiple silver bead necklace.

The necklace consists of fourteen (14) 3/4" long hand rolled melon beads and thirty four (34) 7-8mm silver seamed beads all evenly strung and balanced. The seamed beads all have the holes punched from inside prior to soldering the seam. That's normally a sign of early punch dyes used prior to 1950. The beads have been strung onto a foxtail silver chain with the hook-n-eye clasp soldered on. The shadowbox pendant itself measures 3" long by 1 3/4" across which includes the bale. The necklace measures approximately 23" end to end with the wearable length of 14 1/4" long. The necklace weighs 54 grams (1.90 ounces or 1.74 troy ounces). The necklace is unsigned, but guaranteed Sterling Silver. Beautiful vintage Navajo crafted necklace!  $249.95
