Vintage Navajo turquoise Egyptian Ankh sandcast silver cross pendant. The whole cross was made from a carved sandcast and the artist added the turquoise bezel and wire bale after the molten silver cooled and was removed from the casting. The small polished blue turquoise nugget is set into a fine cut sawtooth bezel. The Egyptian Ankh cross is one of the oldest symbols found on earth and is known as the “Symbol of Life”. It is said that the loop on the ankh symbolized the feminine or the womb, while the cross symbolized the masculine. When the two are put together, life is formed. Many believe that the Ankh is also a symbol for water and air, which are also life-giving elements.

The Ankh cross measures 1 15/16” by 7/8” across and weighs 3.8 grams. Unsigned and guaranteed sterling silver. Beautiful Navajo made cross pendant with nice turquoise! $63.95
