Very old vintage Navajo green turquoise with quartz decorative stamped handmade bracelet. Appears the silversmith may have even made the half round wires for the cuff based on the deep and heavy file marks on the inside. The stone appears to be from the Royston Mines. As you can see in the pictures, the turquoise stone has a large clear quartz in center with other smaller quartz exposed. The polished and cut oval stone rises up out of the smooth silver bezel with twisted wire wrapped around it. As stated above, the two (2) half round cuff wires appear to be handmade with deep file marks on the inside. Both have been soldered together at both ends and also show hand filing to round of the tips. The artist has applied repeat sunrise stampwork on both cuff wires from end to end. The artist also adds three (3) silver drops into both ends also filing them flat on the outside face. This bracelet could theoretically be from 1930's or older based on wrist size and definite hand tooling? Also could be made from melted coins of 90% silver?

The bracelet measures 1" wide at stone tapering to 3/8" at the ends. It holds an inner circumference of 4 3/4" plus a 1 1/4" opening. The bracelet fits a 5 3/4" to 5 7/8" wrist and is very stout. Made for a very petite woman or small child. The bracelet weighs 24.8 grams and is unsigned sterling or coin silver. Nice bracelet showing signs of very early Native silversmithing!  $169.95
