Unique Zuni carved cowrie shell frog fetish! The artist uses a cowrie shell carefully carving away areas to show legs and front arms along with mouth and adding inlaid jet for the eyes and inlaid lapis for body decoration.

The little guy measures approximately 9/16" tall by 1 1/4" across by 13/16" wide. The frog weighs 5.3 grams and is signed J. Homer - Zuni on the bottom by Juana Homer. She is a direct descendant (grand-daughter) of  Leekya Deyuse (1889-1966). He was one of the first Zuni well-known fetish carvers and she was taught by him.  $58.95
