Beautiful vintage Bell Trading Co. - Navajo green turquoise decorated ring. The silversmith has used a beautiful oval cut green turquoise stone with rust brown matrix setting it into a scallop serrated bezel. The artist wraps the stone with twisted wire and encircles it with silver beads (not the bead wire you see in today's rings!). The silversmith finishes by attaching a split shank flat wire band.

The ring face measures 3/4" by 9/16" across and weighs 4.7 grams. It's a size 8 1/4 and is signed with a Bell Trading Co hallmark - STERLING by the artist. The Bell Co. established in 1932 in Albuquerque, NM and employed Native silversmiths. Very nice vintage Bell Trading Co. ring!  $42.95

The Bell Trading Company was founded in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1932 by Jack Michelson and his wife Mildred. They sold Native American Indian jewelry at various tourist locations in the southwestern United States until 1972.
