Exquisite, bold, and very heavy vintage 50's-70's Navajo turquoise, silver dollar, and bear claws decorated necklace. The extra large necklace displays three (3) very large sections that have vintage silver dollars, turquoise nuggets, and bear claws surrounded by decorative silver leaves, flowers, feathers, and large silver drops. The two sides sections display a single bear claw with a leaf mounted to the claw holder, three (3) cut and polished turquoise nuggets each set into serrated bezels, both a Walking Liberty silver dollar, and a Morgan silver dollar all encased with silver feathers and large silver drops. The artist adds a silver flower at the top of each side sections to finish. The larger main center section has a Morgan silver dollar with seven (7) cut and polished turquoise nuggets and eight (8) silver leaves separated with silver drops arching across the top from side to side. The bottom part of the section displays another Morgan silver dollar with a piece of branch coral above it and a turquoise nugget flanked with leaves under it. The artist adds two (2) bear claws with leaf decoration which flank the Morgan dollar on the sides along with four (4) combinations of flowers and leaves running down the outer rims. The center section is connected together to both side sections using two (2) thick gauge silver chain links on each side. The silversmith connects twenty (20) 8mm seamed silver beads on both side sections to complete the necklace. The silver beads are strung on double wire cables with a shepherd's hook and eye clasp.

The section with the claw mounted on the left measures 4 3/4" by 3 1/4" across. It has a 1941 Walking Liberty dollar and a 1899 Morgan silver dollar. The opposite side section measures 4 5/8" by 3 1/4" across and has a 1944 Walking Liberty silver dollar and a 1897 Morgan silver dollar. The larger center section measures 5 3/4" by 3 5/8" across. It has a 1884 and 1891 Morgan silver dollars. The bear claws measure 2 1/4" long. The complete necklace measures 24 1/2" end to end with a wearable length of 16 1/2" long from clasp to bottom tip of center section. It weighs a whopping 435.8 grams (15.37 ounces or 14.01 troy ounces). Unsigned sterling silver although we were told it was made by Son of Bear. We just checked the value of the coins and based on which mint they are from are worth between $327 to $492. The coins would have the mint mark on the back sides. The 1891 Morgan could be worth up to $225 itself even based on fair condition! Bold and heavy substantial collector's necklace!  $2779.95
