Beautiful solid vintage 30's-40's Navajo black skin agate hand stretched carinated wire bracelet! Made with a large oval cut and polished black skin agate that displays a wavy mix of different tones of brown with deep brown to black splotches on both sides of the stone. Set into a smooth bezel wrapped with twisted wire and encircled with multiple silver drops and small scroll wires. All mounted to a three (3) piece hand stretched carinated wire cuff which has been soldered together at each end with a silver cap. The silversmith continues decorating by adding a shield on both sides of the stone that consist of repeating silver drops, scroll wires, and twisted wire laid in matching patterns.

The solid bracelet measures 1 3/4" wide with an inner circumference of 5 1/4" and a 1 1/8" opening. It will fit a 6 1/4" to 6 3/8" wrist as is and although very solid, can be carefully adjusted by a professional. It weighs 49.2 grams (1.74 ounces or 1.58 Troy Ounces) and is unsigned coin or sterling silver. The bracelet was made before the silversmiths could buy carinated wire so in this case the artist had to hand make the wire and stretch it through a pre-cast dye. The center carinated wire shows a slight weakness under the stone, but doesn't hurt the integrity of the cuff. Actually looks like the silversmith might have stretched it slightly too far and applied a spot weld whereas the complete wire is soldered to the stone setting in the area. Beautiful vintage Navajo craftsmanship!  $289.95
