Item # 492B - Lg Hopi Tadpoles Up Stream Overlay Ring by H. Kahe/N. Honie Jr. Sz 11 3/4
Large beautiful Hopi overlay ring! Made with a traditional etched textured and scorched silver base with a story cut out of the overlay showing two (2) tadpoles swimming up stream. All set onto a slightly convex shield setting and mounted to a single solid wire band. The ring face measures approximately 1 5/8" by 7/8" across and weighs 10.7 grams. It's a size 11 3/4 and is signed HK conjoined - Tadpole Hallmark. The HK is the mark of Hale Kahe and the tadpole hallmark stands for Norman Honie Jr. I believe that Mr Kahe was supervised by Mr Honie while working at Honanie Crafts and/or it was a combined effort.
