Item # 485B - Vintage Native Turquoise Coral Fire Agate Horse Bolo

Beautiful unique vintage bolo! Not sure about tribal affiliation, but leaning towards Hopi due to the corn symbol hallmark. The artist has mounted a large quality polished turquoise nugget in the center and has cut out the stone to the point where they could recess the brass horse into it. They continue decorating by adding a very nice polished fire agate stone and a piece of branch coral under the turquoise stone along with different sized silver drops. All mounted to a sterling silver base with decorative broken arrows stamping around the top and sides. The bolo setting measures 1 1/8" by 1 3/4" across and is attached to a new black braided leather cord with a BENNETT PAT.PEND. thumb locking clasp. The new leather cord measures 38" long which includes the new 1 7/8" long sterling silver bench bead end tips. The complete bolo weighs a healthy 31.8 grams (1.12 ounces) and is stamped Corn Plant Hallmark - STERLING by the silversmith. I've placed the bolo from the 1960's to early 1970's whereas the Bennett patent expired in 1969. It could be older? Beautifully decorated bolo!  $159.95  SOLD THANK YOU!  Please check out our other selections!
