Item # 476M - Xlg Vintage Navajo Turquoise Coral Bear Claw Decorated Ring Sz 12 1/2
Beautiful extra large vintage Navajo turquoise, coral, and bear claw highly decorated ring! Made with a polished blue-green turquoise nugget and a piece of branch coral both set into saw toothed bezels with silver drops separating the stones. The silversmith mounts a nice real bear claw above the stones which curls down the side of the stones. The claw holder has sunrise stamped scallop cut edges. To the side of the claw holder the artist has added two (2) silver leaves which one lays across the holder and the other lays next to two (2) large scrolls. All mounted to a blackened scorched silver base with an added heavy gauge wire claw protector that runs down the side of the claw and across the bottom with a large silver drop at the end. The artist attaches the large setting to a highly decorated band which displays two (2) scrolls in center, two (2) twisted wires, and a silver button on each side. All set onto a blackened scorched silver base. He continues to decorate by adding two (2) heavy gauge half round wires which run completely around both outer rims of the band and finishes by adding deep sunrise stamping on both sides. The large ring face measures approximately 1 7/8" by 1 1/8" and weighs 19.9 grams. It's a Size 12 1/2 and is signed IHMSS which stands for Indian Hand Made Sterling Silver.
