Beautiful vintage 70's Navajo turquoise teardrop choker necklace! Made with twenty three (23) sky blue turquoise stones spread out over five individual sections. Each side section consists of three (3) stones with two silver drops between each stone and flanked with a silver leaf on each end. The sides of each section have twisted rope and smooth silver wire with the outer wire showing decorative stampwork. The center section of focal point is shaped like a teardrop with a cluster of three leaves at top, eleven (11) stones set in center, and two larger leaves across the bottom along with silver drops between the stones and attached on top of the leaves. The outer rim sports decorative stampwork as well. The two sections on each side are connected with hinge pins with a loop and slide connecting the teardrop to the sides. The silversmith finishes the choker necklace by adding hand made chains with a shepherd's hook and eye clasp to each end. The necklace measures approximately 15 1/2" long end to end with a wearable length of 9 1/4" long. The necklace weighs 59.5 grams (2.10 ounces).
