Item # 345R - Vintage 20's-40's Navajo Turquoise Leaf Bracelet

Beautiful heavy vintage Navajo turquoise leaf bracelet. Heavy solid construction made with a large natural untreated turquoise stone with webbed tan and light brown matrix. Set in a smooth lip bezel with snips to keep tight around stone. The silversmith added four (4) large silver drops across the top and one across the bottom with a large leaf to one side and three (3) large coiled scrolls to other side of stone. All attached to a double hand drawn carinated wire cuff with heavy twisted wire running down the middle. The artist soldered all three pieces of the cuff together at both ends and tops them with heavy large silver drops. The heavy bracelet shows characteristics of early 1900's construction with exception of the leaf which wouldn't come into play until the late 30's early 40's. Most likely an older silversmith that still used the early technics of Native silver smithing. The bracelet measures approximately 2 1/8" wide with an inner circumference of 5 1/4" and a 1 3/8" opening. It fits a 6 1/2" to 6 5/8" wrist as is and could be professionally adjusted slightly by a jeweler. The solid bracelet weighs 75.2 grams (2.65 ounces) and is unsigned. Guaranteed coin or sterling silver.  $239.95
