Item # 313W - Older Navajo Turquoise Owl Ring Sz 6 1/2
Very nice Navajo ring! Made with a single turquoise stone set in a saw toothed bezel and wrapped with twisted rope. To the side of the stone is a long scroll and above the stone is a combination of a silver bead, twisted rope, and curved smooth wire which creates the owl's face. All decoration is applied to a blackened silver base. The artist attached two silver bands which are soldered together behind the owl's head causing the band to be offset from the center of the setting.The face measures approximately 1 3/16" tall by 5/8" across and weighs 6.4 grams. It's a size 6 1/2 and stamped L S by presumably Navajo silversmith Leroy Sandoval. This is a unique ring and I've never come across an owl ring made this way. Very Nice! $42.95
