Item # 310M - Lg Navajo Seven Piece Sunface Concho Belt
WOW!What a masterpiece of creative wearable art! Very detailed large Navajo sunface concho belt. Made with six (6) large sunface concho's and a slightly larger buckle. A combination of silver overlay and detailed stampwork on each piece. The sunface concho's consist of an overlaid face on etched blackened base within a circle of deep stamping and encircled with thirty (30) hand etched overlaid eagle feathers. The stem of each feather is a textured/etched silver with the feather tips stamped. The buckle is basically the same with the exception of an overlaid ring of water symbols and more feathers (38 total). The buckle measures 3 1/4" by 3 1/2" and the concho's measure 2 1/2" by 2 7/8" each. Attached to a 1 1/2" wide black leather belt with double silver clips. The belt measures 36" long with buckle holes starting at 30" to 35" down. It weighs 14 ounces and is stamped H. Mtz. - Sterling on the buckle which I believe is Navajo silversmith Harry Martinez. The belt show slight wear (minor scratches) on a couple of the concho's, but not bad or very noticeable.$899.95
