Item # 297B - Heavy Vintage Navajo Sandcast Turquoise Leaves Buckle
Rare Navajo turquoise sandcast buckle. Made with a completely casted buckle blank with three nice turquoise nuggets. Natural untreated turquoise with dark and rust brown matrix set in smooth bezels. Flanking the larger center stone are two large silver drops placed above and below the stone along with two heavy cast leaves top and bottom which reach out and somewhat wrap around the two outer stones. Deep channel cuts are placed on all four sides of buckle. The vintage buckle measures 2 7/8" by 2 1/4" and weighs 68.2 grams (2.41 ounces). It has a unique hallmark and guaranteed sterling silver. The buckle will accommodate up to a 1 3/4" wide belt. You rarely see these older cast buckles and I'd place it from somewhere between 1930's to 50's era. $189.95
