Item # 291T - Vintage Multi Stone Inlay Bluebird Bracelet
Absolutely and amazing piece of art! Beautiful inlay lapidary of a bluebird perched on a branch. Made with a mother of pearl base along with turquoise, jet, coral, and possibly jasper in the branches. Yes, the branches are even inlaid which you normally see a black line etched into the MOP. The scene is set in a smooth bezel and wrapped with twisted rope. The outer rim sports a unique sunrise stamping across the top and bottom with a single stamp to each side. Mounted to a double carinated wire cuff that's soldered together at each end along with a half round wire support on each side of the setting. The bracelet measures 1 7/8" wide with an inner circumference of 5 1/4" and a 1" opening. It will fit a 6" to 6 1/4" wrist and could be slightly adjusted out without damage. The bracelet weighs 24.3 grams and is stamped B B by the artist. Many craftsmen used the B B hallmark, but I would attribute the piece to Navajo lapidarist Benjamin Becenti.
