Item # 284B – Four Support w/Protruding Turquoise Bracelet

Nice vintage Navajo turquoise bracelet. Made with a single turquoise stone with quartz and black matrix. The stone sets flush with the smooth bezel at one end and gradually protrudes out as far as 1/4" at other end. The stone appears to be untreated or natural with a good polish. Wrapped with fine twisted rope with the outer ring of stamped half round wire connecting to three silver buttons on the side. Mounted to a double half round wire cuff with twisted rope running through the middle and heavily soldered at each end. The artist added double cross supports on each side of the stone. The main stamp appears to be a sunrise which has been used sparingly and inconsistent. Older smith's sometimes would purposely do this as a hallmark for other smith's to recognize. I would say this bracelet was made somewhere between 1950 and 1970. It measures 1 1/4" wide at stone with an inner circumference of 5 1/4" and a 1 1/4" opening. It will fit a wrist of 6 1/4" to 6 1/2" and could be slightly adjusted. The bracelet weighs 34.2 grams (1.25 ounces) and is unsigned sterling silver.   $89.95
