Item # 283X - Vintage Unique Chain Turquoise Necklace
Nice pre-70's Navajo turquoise necklace! The necklace is completely hand made with a repeating pattern of circular wire rings and flat silver strips that extend off the pendant approximately 6 1/4" each way. The artist then added 4" of standard extension chain creating a total length of 10 1/4" each side plus the hook-n-eye clasp. All of the flat silver has a repeating stamp on both sides of the chain. The large turquoise pendant has the large stone (1 1/4" by 5/8") set in a fine cut serrated bezel with a large flower bloom at top and two long leaves which hang down the sides of the stone. Three silver drops directly above the stone with a notched silver decoration wrapping around the bottom of the stone. The pendant measures 2 1/4" by 1 3/8" and the complete necklace measures 22" long end to end. It has a wearable length of approximately 12 1/4" and weighs 38.9 grams (1.38 ounces). Unsigned sterling silver. The necklace shows signs of being older, but the stone is typical to newer pieces. $179.95
